Our amazing volunteers are the face of Lovely Fate at our play parties and other events. They help make members and guests feel safe & welcome, and keep an eye on things to help facilitate safe and enthusiastic consent-oriented play.

Volunteer roles

Any given event will have several volunteers helping out alongside each other. Whenever possible, we’ll try to assign you to your preferred role out of the below:

Setup / Packup - Help with getting our venue prepared for an event and/or getting it restored & tidied up afterward.

Welcome & greeting - Attendee check-in, welcome, explain rules & etiquette.

Bar - Serve refreshments and mixers, keep member’s bottles safe behind the bar, and help them mix drinks.

Playspace monitor - Watch over play spaces and featured scenes, keeping things tidy and keeping an eye on play for safety and consent.

Artistic scenes - Be in, and help plan, our iconic scenes of sensual human art, to help set the mood of our events.

Theme events - Help with planning & executing the decorations, performances, music & other elements of our legendary theme events.

Time commitment

For any given event, you can choose to volunteer for one of the below shifts:

Setup: Typically from about 4pm until 7pm on the day of the event

Event opening: arrive 1 hour before event start time, and assist until halfway through the event.

Full event: Assist from event open until the end of the event

Pack up: Typically Monday morning after the event, from 10am until about 1pm

Attend Lovely Fate events for free*

*For event opening , setup or pack up shifts, you can enjoy the rest of that event as an attendee without needing to purchase a ticket (yourself only, any friends or plus ones will need to purchase their own ticket. For full event shifts, you get a comp couple or solo ticket to a future event.

Join our volunteer crew!

Once you’re part of the volunteer squad, we’ll contact you prior to events to ask if you are available to volunteer for that particular date. Being part of the squad doesn’t obligate you to help out on any particular date, or at any particular frequency - it just means you’ll be on our list to ask. You can always say no if you can’t make it, or just prefer to come to that event as an attendee.
